Virtual Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading is going virtual!

We aren’t going to let anything stop us from having a great Summer Reading! Our programs will still happen and you can watch and interact with them online!

Plus, we have even more fun challenges for all age groups with awesome prizes.

How it works:

By using a software called Beanstack, you are able to register for Summer Reading online and sign up for various challenges to win all sorts of badges and prizes. Click here to register for "Once Upon A Summer Reading" which will focus on the magic of reading with games, activities and rewards. You can also log your reading.

(If you are wanting to register for 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, you will need to create a Beanstack account and then you can register for the challenge.)

Completing the challenges earns you virtual tickets to put in drawings for giftcards to local businesses. And just like past Summer Reading programs, logging your reading will allow you to get special items such as a "Once Upon A Summer Reading" tote bag, Summer Reading 2020 t-shirt, and a water bottle or book bucks!

Even though the opening of our building for programming is uncertain at this time, we are devoted to providing a fun experience with activities and special performances.  Weekly programs for each age group will be available on our Facebook page as a recorded or live video or through a private Discord (teens only) and Zoom calls that to allow children and their families to interact with our librarians. Private programs will require registration and will not be shown on social media to protect our participants privacy. The full schedule of programs and at home activity sheets can be found in the age links below. You can register for each program and find more detailed information on our calendar.
