Laura has nearly four decades of experience interpreting and performing with sign language. She learned sign language as an actress of a traveling drama and sign language group in Missouri. Over the years, Laura has performed/interpreted for the National Deaf Convention, for a commercial, and for church services. She enjoys teaching adult sign language, especially by mixing sign language with music. Laura has been a teacher for twenty-three plus years, teaching from pre-K to adults. Music is a long-term memory vehicle for learning and is a fun way to build signing vocabulary. She is very excited to teach "Sign with Song" at the Saline County Library in 2018!
