FAQs: Computers and Technology

To use a library computer, you will need your library card and PIN, which is the last 4 digits of your telephone number. Patrons can use library computers for 90 minutes a day. Computers automatically shut down 15 minutes before close. 

To use our high-speed wifi, simply open your Wireless Network Connection Manager and connect to “LibraryWiFi”. Next, you will launch your preferred browser and accept the terms of use.

Borrow eBooks from Overdrive. When you log in, it will ask for your library card number and PIN, which is the last 4 digits of your phone number. Search for the title you are looking for, tap or click the cover, and choose "Borrow."

Our fax machines are located in our computer labs. They accept cash and change. It is $1.00 per page to fax.

Print money can be added to your account after you have printed a few pages with a new library card. See the help desk to add money, it must be in your account before you print.

Visit our computer lab for our all-in-one scanner and fax machine. Scanning is free; it costs $1.00 to fax.

If you are just visiting Saline County, you can still use one of our library computers without a library card. Simply bring your driver's license to a help desk and we will give you a complimentary guest pass to use a computer.

Makerspace equipment available for patrons to use includes:

  • computers with the full adobe creative software suite

  • green screen
  • sewing machine
  • die cutter with an assortment of dies 
  • knitting/crochet supplies (including a yarn swift and winder)

  • laser engraver (engraves wood, cardboard, plastic, and leather) 
  • wood burning tool.
