The Saline County Library’s Bryant branch is officially back open and to celebrate, we are hosting a grand re-opening celebration on Thursday, November 8th from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
The Bryant Chamber of Commerce will be in attendance to do a ribbon cutting.
On November 8th, you can visit the Mabel Boswell Memorial Library to see the brand new renovations including new flooring, new furniture, a new Makerspace and much more! Library workers will be there to answer any questions you think of as you tour the library.
You can enjoy refreshments while you check out all the new additions, as well as pick up goodie bags on your way out! In addition, everyone who comes in can enter to win a $50 Walmart gift card. The winner will be announced on the Saline County Library Facebook page the next day.
For the past three-and-a-half months, the staff at the Bryant branch, along with Library Interiors of Texas, has been working to make the library a better environment for all of its patrons. When all of the construction work was completed, the staff at the Bryant branch began re-shelving books, organizing their sections and planning programs.
“There’s something for everyone,” says Patty Hector, Director of the Saline County Library, “a quieter computer lab with new spacious desks, new furniture in the children’s section, a new section just for the tweens and a great new hangout for the teens.”
Friends of the Library member, Linda Zehner says the renovation is going to be a positive thing for the community. “There’s a lot of kids who need a positive place to go, and this is not only a positive place, it’s a safe place.”
We are excited to show off our new building to the community!
