Benton Book Sale February 1st-2nd

There will be a used book sale on Friday, February 1st from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday, February 2nd from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the lower reading area at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library in Benton located at 1800 Smithers Dr. The sale is open to the public and there is no charge for admission.

There will be plenty to choose from including fiction, nonfiction, children’s books, DVDs, audiobooks and more. The prices can’t be beat! Hardback books, larger trade paperbacks, children’s hardback books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, and cake pans are $1.00 each. Paperbacks, children’s paperbacks and children’s board books are 50 cents each. Coffee table books will be from $2.00-$15.00, children’s pop-up books and puzzles from $2.00-$4.00 and albums and magazines will be 10 cents each.

This will be the last book sale before the Friends of the Library Bookstore officially opens on February 19th! This will allow patrons to experience the pleasure of a bookstore in Saline County, and it will also help to keep material fresh and current.

The sales are organized and hosted by the Friends of the Library. Friends of the Library is a nonprofit group that helps with events, donations and other aspects of the library. “The library system is like a tree with branches,” says Pat Lovell, Friends of the Library President. “The library offers all these branches that spark creativity and expand the mind. The Friends group is just another growing branch to help support everything else.”
