Deadline 

  • To receive absentee ballot applications by mail, fax, or email is October 27.
  • To transfer voter registration from County to County is October 30.
  • To deliver your absentee ballot to the County Clerk is November 2 no later than 4:30 PM. 

What do I need to vote? 

If you are registered to vote, all you need is your ID. Accepted forms of ID are: 

  • A driver’s license
  • A photo identification card
  • A concealed handgun carry license
  • A United States passport
  • An employee badge or identification document issued by an accredited postsecondary education institution in the State of Arkansas
  • A United States military identification document
  • A public assistance identification card if the card shows a photograph of the person to whom the document or identification card was issued
  • A voter verification card as provided under Ark. Code § 7-5-324.

Absentee/Mail-In Voting

Voters in the general election may cite concerns over COVID-19 as a valid excuse for voting absentee. 

  1. Review the absentee ballot application and confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements for voting absentee.
  2. Fill out the application completely.
  3. Submit the request to your local election office. You should request your ballot as far in advance of the election as possible. The deadline to request a ballot by mail is (received by) Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
  4. When your ballot arrives, read it carefully and follow the instructions to complete it and return it.
  5. Your ballot must be received by Tuesday, November 3, 2020 by 7:30 p.m. You may also return your ballot in person by Monday, November 2, 2020 by close of business. You can find ballot tracking information here.
