Used Book Sale Coming in February

Patron Lindsay Jordan Never Misses a Chance to Find Great Deals!

It is 6:00 AM. Time for Lindsay Jordan to start her day. She rolls out of bed, gets ready, drops the kids off at school and makes a quick stop by Koffee with a Kause for an iced caramel macchiato. Then, the fun begins!

Today is one of her favorite days. It is the Used Book Sale. She pulls up to the library and joins the crowd already waiting outside the building 15 minutes early.

“You just can’t beat the prices. Books for $1.00 or $0.50 are a steal when hardbacks are usually $20.00,” said Jordan. “The staff is wonderful. They are helpful, encouraging and friendly. The selection, though, is vast. Science Fiction. Romance. Non-fiction. Christian. Mystery. They have a little bit of everything.”

At 9:00 AM the doors open and the flood rushes in. Jordan is off! She grabs her basket and heads to her favorite section- the romances.

“One time I found the entire Edilean series by Jude Deveraux. All nine of the books!”

The series sells for around $64.00 on Amazon but Jordan spent less than $1.00 per book at the Used Book Sale. But that is not all she found. During the Christmas pop-up sale, she found a few items that were particularly special.

“I have kids, so I am always glad to get children’s books like Where the Wild Things Are. At the Christmas sale, I found books that I grew up reading. I was able to share my favorite memories with my kids.”
