SCLCon is coming to the Saline County Library in Benton!

SCLCon is coming up soon!!!

On July 28th the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library will be transformed into a wonderland of comic and superhero fun. There will be fun activities for all ages. We’ll be playing exciting superhero movies all day in our meeting room so stop by and catch the Avengers in action while you take a break from exploring the other activities. Families can enjoy a snack provided by the library. If you like to shop, make sure you visit our vendors located upstairs near the computer lab where local artists and crafters from around Saline County will be here selling their creations.

Looking for something for a specific age?

Younger kids will enjoy our Super Hero Training Camp obstacle course.  It’s a great time to practice your world-saving skills and a great way to use some of that extra energy. If you love art, check out our guided art lessons down in the teen area. Enjoy following our expert artist and making cool pictures. Afterwards, grab a blank comic book and create your own masterpiece! Watch the Balloon Man make amazing things with just balloons! Don’t forget to check out the interactive Lego exhibit, maybe you can add a piece to the creation. Adults will enjoy our trivia competition; we’ll be playing all day, so drop in and play a round.

Our day will culminate with an exciting costume contest. The best part of any comic con is the chance to dress up in your favorite costume and parade around the library. You can make your own costume, buy one from a store, or wear an old Halloween costume. It’s just a time for fun and silliness. Not to mention all of your favorite staff members will be dressed up too!
