Branch Library Assistant
Elizabeth is a library assistant at the Mabel Boswell Memorial library. She is responsible for the public hotspots that are available for patrons to check out. She maintains, and if need be, replaces them and ensures that they are functioning effectively for patron use. Her love for reading and creative writing is what attracted to her working here at the library. While she likes to dabble in all genres to keep her horizons wide, her go-to favorite genre would have to be adult fantasy. She loves getting lost in another world filled with magic and wonder, but that doesn’t stop her from enjoying what other creative authors have to offer outside the fantasy world.
Elizabeth is a 2021 graduate of Southern Arkansas University where she graduated with a Bachelors in Mass Communications. Her hobbies in hiking, yoga, reading, tennis, kayaking, and any outdoor activities where she can take her pittie mix, Mabel, with her.
If she was going to be any character, it would have to be a toss-up between Princess Mononoke from Studio Ghibili’s Princess Mononoke or Princess Leia from Star Wars the Original Trilogy. These strong-willed women who weren’t afraid to fight for what they believe and took matters into their own hands are what made Elizabeth feel such a connection.
She has this strange talent (at times a curse) of being able to predict the outcome of movies, TV shows, and books. 9 times out of 10, she can guess what’s going to happen, who is going to die, and how things are going to end. While it can be fun, it makes it very hard for her to finish a series especially television shows. Some of her all time favorites (both book and movies/TV shows) are the ones that actually took her by surprise and that is the main reason she loved them.
Ever since she was little, she dreamed of a world where she could sail the high seas and live a life of swashbuckling adventure. So, she would love to visit the world of Sinbad where the oceans held sea monsters, pirates, and sirens, where she would get to command her own ship.
