Cataloging Librarian

Lyndsey is the Cataloging Librarian at the Saline County Library. As the main cataloger, Lyndsey performs original & copy cataloging so the library items are properly housed in the online catalog. She also assists with special projects & resolves any cataloging problems. Since the Saline County Library has joined the Mid-Arkansas Regional Library, Lyndsey helps train the other catalogers in the region. Lyndsey has a Master’s Degree in Library & Information Studies from the University of Oklahoma. Lyndsey also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mid-Level Education: English, Language, & Social Science from Harding University. Since 2018, Lyndsey has been a part of the Adultish Book Club that meets monthly at the Saline County Library. It is called the Adultish Book Club because the group reads both young adult & adult books.

As a proud Hufflepuff, I would choose a Honey Badger. The Hufflepuff emblem is the Honey Badger & they are adorable but fierce little mammals. The Honey Badger is quite often underestimated since it lives quietly unless provoked. The Honey Badger can even fight off animals much bigger than itself.

Hogwarts is the only answer. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry has been somewhere I have longed to go since 1997 when the first book was published. “Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts, Teach us something please…”

It would have to be the upcoming movie in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. It’s part of The Wizarding World. The Secrets of Dumbledore is set to be released in 2022. The main character is Newt Scamander, who is a fellow Hufflepuff. I don’t have a preference in a character I would play besides being an ally of Newt Scamander.

I play Dungeons & Dragons bi-weekly with a group of my friends. Dungeons & Dragons is a fantasy tabletop role-playing game that incorporates storytelling, improvisation, & cooperation among your group members. My character is a dwarf paladin named Violet. She is the very loyal protector of her group.
