Staff Member Rob

Building Operations Manager

Rob is the Building Operations Manager for the library and is responsible for all of the things that make the buildings run, from the library computer network to the outdoor sprinkler system and everything in between.

He was in the Navy for 10 years and has been all over the world, including being stationed in Djibouti, Africa. He also once smoked a cigarette with then-Senator Barack Obama. He received four Navy/Marine Corps. Achievement Medals while in the Navy for various things, most notably for using an unconventional method to restore ship communications in an ice storm while off the coast of Germany during a very cold winter. (It involved cranking the power of an antenna so that it would melt ice that covered the dome, which was blocking the signal.)

Rob has been skateboarding since the age of 10 (he’s 47 now), he loves to write, and he also collects vinyl records. He is very into punk music, but has a wide range in his taste for music. Rob is happily married and they have a very young son.

Rob listens to records daily.
