Youth Services Manager
Wendy is the Youth Services Manager at the Saline County Library. She has been with the library for 13+ years, mostly in the children’s department because they have the most fun. Before working in libraries, Wendy was a computer programmer, a psychology research assistant, and a church secretary. She loves working with children and is passionate about early literacy and learning, as well as finding ways to expand the library’s services in underserved parts of the community. When she’s not at work, Wendy sews, crochets, and bakes usually while listening to an audiobook.
I would love to visit Pemberley whether Mr. Darcy was there or not. The extensive grounds are begging to be explored. I do love a long walk.
My favorite toy had to be my Barbies. I made them furniture out of paper, boxes, and empty thread spools. I made them clothes before I really had any idea how to sew. They also starred in many versions of my favorite fairy tales.

- Going on a Jane Austen tour of England
- Going to Ireland
If I had a totally free hour every day, I would spend somewhere quiet, alone, actually holding a physical book in my hand and reading it. There’s a reason that I do all of my hobbies while listening to audiobooks.
