Teens! Get Your Volunteer Hours at the Library!

When we think summer break, we often think about the vacations we are going to take, the time lazing about the pool, or that extra bit of time we get to sleep in instead of rushing to catch the bus. However, summertime is also a great time to get in some volunteer hours. Volunteering is an awesome way to begin building your resume, help gain and build on skills for future jobs, and looks great on college applications.

There are tons of volunteer opportunities out there for teens! From helping serve food to cleaning up the community, there is something for everyone. Volunteer AR and United Way give you the ability to search for volunteer opportunities near you. Just type in your zip code or address and they will provide you with all the information you need to begin your volunteering.

The Saline County Library is also always looking for volunteers. Just go to the main page of our website and click the FAQs in the ABOUT section to submit an application to volunteer.
