Saline County Library’s Homebound Service is an alternative way for patrons to receive library materials if they cannot access the buildings because of extenuating circumstances. The service is free for eligible patrons.

Who qualifies?

  • You must be a resident of Saline County or a resident of an assisted living or adult care facility within our service area.
  • You must be physically unable to visit our library. Homebound cardholders cannot receive delivery services and check out items at the library as well. It is assumed that you are requesting delivery because you are not able to visit our facilities.
  • You must be eligible for an SCL library card; if a current cardholder, you must be in good standing (all fines are resolved).
  • Depending on the number of applicants, you may be placed on a waiting list for Homebound services.

To apply for Homebound services, fill out the homebound application below and our Outreach Librarian will contact you once approved. Materials provided by Homebound services remain checked out for 4 weeks, at which time more materials will be delivered to the patron. It is the patrons responsibility to make sure the items are returned to the library.

If you have any questions or concerns or would like more information about the Homebound service, please email MasonN@SalineCountyLibrary.org or call (501) 778-4766 xt 1302. You may also visit the outreach, programming and events policy FAQs section.

Notice: Library Records, by law, are confidential and cannot be released without a court order to anyone other than the person himself. Under Arkansas law you must give written consent to allow another person access to your account.
