The Saline County Library is hosting a food and hygiene drive from November 14th to November 23rd to better serve our community. The library is accepting donations for an exchange of $1off per item of any fees you might have at the library. If you do not have any fees, donations are still accepted at the circulation desk.

People in our community are lacking essential food and hygiene items, as well as snack foods. A well-timed snack can even out spikes in hunger and provide a much-needed energy boost between meals; that’s why we’re asking for snack food and hygiene product donations!

Last year, we set up a goal of 1,000 combined items and we hope to achieve the same goal this year. Listed below are suggested items that you can donate.

  • Vienna sausages
  • Ramen noodles
  • Easy Mac
  • Tuna pouches
  • Single-pack cereals
  • Pudding cups
  • Applesauce
  • Fruit cups
  • Cheese crackers
  • Peanut butter crackers
  • Shampoo
  • Soap
  • Deodorant
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Diapers
  • Baby wipes

Donations can be dropped off during normal library hours. After November 23rd, items may be dropped off at each branch but will not count towards the goal of 1,000 combined items donated during the drive.
