Autism Resources

We at the Saline County Library truly believe libraries are for everyone, but we know that experiences at the library can be more difficult for some than others.  With this in mind, we have put together some autism resources, located at the children’s department desk.  These resources include fidgets, a weighted lap pad, noise-reducing headphones, a wobble cushion and social stories about the library.  Other services provided by the library include a quiet area under the stairs at the Benton branch, and a sensory storytime on Monday mornings at 10:30. The library is inclusive and welcoming to everyone in our community, if you or your child need accommodations or extra help to make your library visit more comfortable, please contact us.
