Creating at the Library!

Paintings, keychains, hats, and more – creating just about anything you want at the library is possible with your imagination and the Saline County Library’s Makerspaces! Our Makerspaces are vibrant hubs of creativity, where patrons of all ages can explore hands-on tools and technology to bring their ideas to life. Whether you’re designing a custom T-shirt, crafting a one-of-a-kind gift, or experimenting with new materials, the possibilities are practically endless. The best part? Bringing your projects to life is free, thanks to your library card.
Each of our library branches — Benton, Bryant, and East End — offers access to a wide variety of equipment and supplies. From 3D printers and vinyl cutters to sewing machines and heat presses, our spaces are designed to support all types of makers, from curious beginners to experienced creators. Creating has never been easier.
We’re constantly inspired by the incredible things our patrons make, and we’d love to see your work! If you’ve completed a project in one of our Makerspaces or at home using a kit from the library, you can:
- Submit a photo of your creation through our submitting online
- Share your work on social media using the hashtag #LibraryMadeAtSCL
Your creation might even be featured on our website or social media pages to help inspire other makers in our community!
So, what will you make? A quilt? A 3-D Printed dragon? A garden fueled by seeds from our Seed Library? Will you dive in by yourself, or join one of our crafting programs for a guided project? We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
