FAQs: Volunteer Opportunities
The library is a great source for volunteer hours for teens. Fill out our easy online application and one of our volunteer coordinators will contact you about a time to start volunteering. Volunteer shifts are usually once a week for one hour. Right now we are looking for volunteers who can assist in our children’s department cleaning toys, straightening the area, organizing book carts and other duties as assigned. You must be 13 years old to become a volunteer. We are looking for self-starters and responsible independent workers.
Some of the tasks our adult volunteers help with include shelving and straightening shelves, prepping materials for adult programs, and pulling books for homebound patrons. Applications are accepted at anytime. To apply, please complete this form.
Adults who are interested in volunteering may also learn more information about becoming a Friend of the Library and volunteering with the Used Book Sale room. Visit the Friends of the Library page to learn more.
We allow workers to come for four-hour blocks and perform light housekeeping duties such as picking up trash from the parking lot, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning windows, sanitizing tabletops, etc. We only take one worker at a time, according to the schedule below, and work times must be booked in advance.
