You can also visit the Used Book Store at the Benton branch located at 1800 Smithers Drive. The Used Book Store is open any time the Benton branch is open and allows patrons to experience the pleasure of a bookstore in Saline County.

This sale and the Used Book Store are organized and hosted by the Friends of the Library. Friends of the Library is a nonprofit group that helps with events, donations, and other aspects of the library.

Annual membership to become a friend is $5 for an individual and $10 for a family. A lifetime membership can be purchased for $100.00. Applications can be picked up at the library circulation desk. Members of the Friends of the Library get exclusive first access to materials donated to the library.
