Saline County Library Hosting Author Talk with Mara Leveritt and Jason Baldwin

The Saline County Library is excited to announce a live author event with author Mara Leveritt and Jason Baldwin on Tuesday, April 5th from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the Benton Event Center. Baldwin was one of the three who were implicated in the West Memphis Three murders.

Leveritt will be joining Community Librarian, Alan Robinette, once again to discuss her book on the West Memphis Three, Devil’s Knot: The True Story of the West Memphis Three. In addition, she and Baldwin will be discussing their book Dark Spell: Surviving the Sentence, based on Baldwin’s time in prison.

Baldwin survived eighteen years in prison before being released as part of a plea deal in 2011. The two will also discuss recent developments on the West Memphis murder case that garnered national attention.

As the cofounder and Deputy Director of Proclaim Justice, Baldwin will talk the audience through the creation of his nonprofit organization and how they seek to advocate for those wrongfully convicted of crimes.

Questions for Leveritt and Baldwin may be submitted by filling out the form at http://bit.ly/LeverittQuestion22.

Following the discussion, Leveritt and Baldwin will be selling and signing copies of the featured books. For more information on Proclaim Justice, visit www.ProclaimJustice.org.
