Support your Community, Learn, & Have Fun!

Before the rush of Summer Reading in June and July, our Benton branch is having some amazing community events. Don’t miss out on some of these awesome programs!

Baby Prom: Friday, May 9 from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM at the Benton branch

This one is just for ages 5 and under and their caregivers! Get dressed up in your finest and fanciest for a special day at the library. We’ll dance, play with bubbles, a ball pit, and enjoy some tasty cookies courtesy of our sponsor for the event, Chicken Salad Chick. We’ll also have a photographer present to capture your cute little one having a great time!

Blood Donation Drive: Saturday, May 10 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Benton branch

Giving blood saves lives! Make a difference in your community today. No registration is required – just drop by the Benton branch’s meeting room and they’ll do a quick health screening. If you’re eligible, you can give blood immediately!

Pet Adoption & Donation Drive: Saturday, May 17 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Benton branch

Help a cute doggo find their forever home! With the help of our amazing friends at Benton Animal Services, we’re teaming up loving families and pets in need. Drop by the Benton branch parking lot to see some of the dogs currently at the shelter. For this event, adoption fees are waived.

Can’t add another family member to your household right now? We understand! You can still help out: we’re looking for donations of pet food, toys, and blankets to help the shelter.

Cooking and Canning Classes!

The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service (or UAEX) is teaming up with the Saline County library to teach you and your family how to be healthy and happy. The Benton branch has a number of upcoming classes on cooking and canning! All classes are free but require registration beforehand. Click on the title of each of the events below to register and save your spot!
